Tarot Fantasy Emperor Card

He is a mighty man of renown sitting in a bejewelled throne which indicates his great prosperity and stature. The coat of arms motif above is in the likeness of a golden eagle, signifying an ability to observe all from on high, power over those below, military prowess and wealth. There are spiral designs engraved into it signifying the powerful serpent and dragon culture of old. The eye of the eagle is an orb indicating the world and his large measure of  domination within it. The emperor sees much like the giant eye of Jupiter and is often associated with that planet and it’s god.

The emperor is clad in the fur of a colossal bear as he is often himself a mighty hunter or warrior. He wears rich brocaded silks belying a softer, more refined side to his strong personality. He is gazing pensively out to the horizon, perhaps thinking about the vast lands he rules and new ones abroad. Often reflecting upon the burden of power, responsibility and decision making. He demands respect and commands authority but is also an emotional being and capable of fairness.

Reversed: The emperor in the reverse position is an unjust tyrant, concerned only with gain and rule over others. Thus, turning his own natural energy and passion for life into an insatiable, greedy gusto.
